Orphan Aid Educational Trust

OA Educational Trust has recently been launched by Garry and Annette Hare.  As the orphans whom OrphanAid  has been supporting over the last six years are getting older, the need for practical post-school training and education that will enable them to easily get jobs and support themselves, is becoming essential to the long term and ongoing work of our ministry. In a sense this is the practical completion of one of the main aims of OrphanAid to empower and enable orphans to support themselves and be a Christian light within their communities. 

Orphans who apply for bursaries with the OrphanAid Educational Trust do have to meet certain criteria and sign an agreement with regards to conditions of this support.  Below is a picture of Thanda, the first recipient of an OA Educational Trust bursary for a year sewing course at the Sizanani Fashion Design Academy (Methodist Church Pinetown).
