Maxwell Lukhele has been working full-time with OrphanAid since 2004. He is married to Silindile and they have a son, Joshua (2 year) and a daughter, Praise (4 years old). Their contribution within OrphanAid is vital to the effective functioning of the organization as they often fill the cultural gap between those giving and those receiving. As a full-time fieldworker with OrphanAid, Maxwell spends a lot of time amongst the people in the Valley, identifying needs and those who are in true need, building relationships, teaching and counseling.
In supporting the orphans and destitute in the Valley of 1000 Hills it is vital for OrphanAid to identify specific needs and to walk with those who truly seek to change their lives. Someone who knows their culture and background, can speak their language, communicate effectively and thus build quality relationships.
The Lukhele's passion for helping the poor, preaching to them and giving them hope is a priority in their lives. By supporting this family financially it will enable them to use this passion and the relationships already built to their maximum potential in reaching the poor for Christ.
